How to Break into the Business of Art

To some, it may seem like a career in the fine and/or applied arts is an impossible dream. The reality is different. This panel will address some of the challenges related to breaking into the business and entering the marketplace. Hear the first-hand experiences of two respected “young guns”--alumni Joseph Crone and Lowell Isaac,  who are in the early stages of building their careers-and an esteemed Herron professor - Vance Farrowwho is currently educating the next generation of artist and illustrators.

Farrow received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drawing from Murray State University in 1993, and an MFA in drawing from the University of Cincinnati in 1996. He taught at the Art Academy of Cincinnati until his eventual move to Indianapolis where he currently teaches as an Assistant Professor of Foundation Studies/Fine Art at Herron.
